Micro games reflected on its charitable reach in 2021, as it aims to support “even more” responsible gambling charities that are “on a mission” to treat, minimize and prevent gambling-related damage.

Marking his contribution to Safer Play Week, the company noted that through its Microgaming PlayItForward social responsibility program, it broadened its scope to Betknowmore United Kingdom, who received a donation to cover the cost of a one-year trial for weekly peer-led group therapy specifically for women.

“The collaboration between Microgaming PlayItForward and Betknowmore UK has enabled the development and implementation of new research and support activities that address the topic of women and gambling harm,” noted Frankie graham, Founder and CEO of Betknowmore UK. “This is an underfunded area and rightly the recipient of increased investment.”

Following a donation last year, Microgaming once again helped Gordon moody, in addition to offering support to families affected by gambling. The last contribution was intended to provide a comfort fund for the families of people under the supervision of the association, as well as to help with the purchase of furniture for its women’s awareness project.

Additionally, having previously assisted the Isle of Man-based company Motiv8 IOM, Microgaming sponsored this year its gaming and gambling project set up specifically for young people.

Along with the support programs, Microgaming has also supported various digital projects, such as covering the promotional costs of a month-long social campaign for GamCare‘s National helpline.

Meanwhile, the mental health charity Beacon Counseling Trust and the Trust for the education of young players and players received funding for the creation of educational videos.

“We are proud to stand in solidarity with all sectors of our industry in supporting the Safer Gambling Week initiative, with a calendar of events to promote the responsible gambling message throughout our business,” explained John coleman, CEO at Microgaming.

“Of course, this is a conversation our industry should have year round, and one that we are committed to participating in. I am proud that we were able to support the invaluable work of a range of gambling-related research, education and treatment charities throughout 2021. ”

Now in its seventh year, Microgaming PlayItForward continues to invest in a wide range of local and international community projects, under the three pillars of people, place and planet.
